An outgrowth of the evangelical and charismatic renewal movement of the 1950's and 1960's Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry (or TESM) was founded in 1976. Several well known evangelical Episcopalians and Anglicans were involved in it's founding, including John R.W. Stott and J.I. Packer. It was accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in 1985.
