The Lockman Foundation is a nonprofit, interdenominational ministry. Its mission includes translating and distributing the New American Standard Bible, Amplified Bible, La Biblia de las Américas, Nueva Biblia Latinoamericana de Hoy, and other Biblical resources.
Dewey and Minna Lockman donated over 75 percent of valuable land they owned in the La Habra Valley (California) to establish the Foundation on Dec. 3, 1942. They formed a "non-profit corporation, with the established purpose to promote Christian evangelism, education, and benevolence."
The rights to distribute the Foundation's bibles on line has been given to Bible Gateway.
