The Lockman Foundation is a nonprofit, interdenominational ministry. Its mission includes translating and distributing the New American Standard Bible, Amplified Bible, La Biblia de las Américas, Nueva Biblia Latinoamericana de Hoy, and other Biblical resources.[1]

Dewey and Minna Lockman donated over 75 percent of valuable land they owned in the La Habra Valley (California) to establish the Foundation on Dec. 3, 1942. They formed a "non-profit corporation, with the established purpose to promote Christian evangelism, education, and benevolence."[2]

The rights to distribute the Foundation's bibles on line has been given to Bible Gateway.
