Spendarmad Jashan is the annual celebration of Spenta Armaiti among Zoroastrians. Spenta Armaiti is the Amesha Spenta, or Holy Immortal, who created the earth and is patron of devotion and piety. The fifth day of each Zoroastrian month is sacred to Spenta Armaiti, as is the whole of the twelfth month, Spendarmad. Spendarmad Jashan is celebrated at the conjunction of the two, on the fifth day of Spendarmad.
