Shaheedi Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Ji or the Martyrdom of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale is commemorated on 23 Jeth (6 June) every year. Jarnail Singh was killed in the 1984 Ghallughara of the Golden Temple in Amritsar. He was leader of Damdami Taksal. Nineteen years after his death, the Akal Takht proclaimed Jarnail Singh a martyr.
