Religious conviction describes the assertion of religious individuals that they are directed by God (in Christianity religions, or other deities in other religions) to either take specific actions in honor of their conviction. Examples might include a personal religious conviction to assist people in need, or a conviction to change personal behaviors that are sinful and apart from God's will.

Many religious charities, acts of altruism, and entering into the Ministry are due to religious conviction.
