Maria Jepsen (born January 19, 1945, Bad Segeberg) is the current bishop of Hamburg in the North Elbian Evangelical Church. She became the first Lutheran woman bishop in the Evangelical Church in Germany and worldwide in April 1992, and since then she has been re-elected for a second ten-year period.
