This is a list of Catholicos of the East. Presently the Catholicos have jurisdiction over all the Orthodox Christians in India.

The Catholicate was established by Apostle Thomas in Edessa, Mesopotamia during his mission. The see was moved to Selucia-Ctesiphon, the capital of Persian Empire and then to Tigris and Mosul in Iraq following the Nestorian Schism in the church. The see was re-instated in India by the Patriarch of Antioch in 1912 AD.
