[edit] Introduction

The basic belief of Koreshianity is that David Koresh will rise from the ashes of Waco 16 years to the day after the Ascension and restore the Earth to its original state as the Garden of Eden.

[edit] History

Koreshianity was founded by David Koresh. His Second, Lewis Frankel, miraculously received the message of his return at the exact moment of David's death at the hands of the US Government.

[edit] Key Moments

The Ascension: April 19th 1993. David Koresh, 54 adult adepts, and 21 of his Special Youth offered themselves in sacrifice to the corrupt temporal authority of the US government. This act of sacrifice represents God giving the corrupt people of the world one more chance to redeem themselves. As He wiped the Earth clean with the Flood so will he wipe it clean again. David will return on April 19th 2009 at the head of an army of angels, who will cleanse God's creation in preparation for the return to Eden.

The Return: April 19th 2009. David Koresh will return to Earth, emerging from an Earthquake created fissure that will separate California from the continental United States, revealing a cave from which will emerge the Army of God.

[edit] Sacred Space

In Koreshianity sacred place is determined by either a historical event, usually associated with David Koresh, or a place sacralized by the presence of more then ten devotees, called a Sacrum.

[edit] Sacred Places

The Place of Uplift: This is the site of The Ascension, the site of the Sacrum from which David Koresh and his followers were assumed to heaven. Conventionally, this place is the compound in Waco, Texas.

The Dream Home: The home of Lewis Frankel was sacralized by the intercession of God at the moment of The Ascension. Apparently woken from a dream to find himself in the presence of God, Lewis Frankel was given divine vision, with which he witnessed The Ascension from a heavenly perspective. He greeted David Koresh in heaven, and David Koresh revealed to him The Plan, which outlines the terms of his absence from the physical world and The Return. Most consider The Dream Home to be a a Sacrum perpetually, despite the fact that ten devotees are not continuously present. Unlike The Place of Uplift, The Dream Home is a popular pilgrimage site for Koreshians (See pilgrimage above).
