Jemima (also written Jemimah), was one of the three daughters of Job named as given to him in the later part of his life, after Jehovah God made Job prosperous again. Jemimah's sisters are named as Keziah and Keren-Happuch. Job's sons, in contrast, are not named. Jemima was Job's first daughter. Her name means Dove, which symbolizes purity.
In the book of Job (cap.42 v.15):
- And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job, and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.sv:Jemima
