Job (Ayyub/Eyub/Ejub) (circa 1600 BC - 1500 BC?)[1] [2] is known as an appointed prophet and messenger ("Rasul") of God. He is mentioned in Quran in the following verses:

<span title="Source: [Qur'an 21:83]">"And (remember) Job (Ayyub), when He cried to his Lord, "Truly distress has seized me, but Thou art the Most Merciful of those that are merciful.""
Qur'an[[[Qur'an 21:83]|[src]]]
<span title="Source: [Qur'an 6:84]">"We gave him Isaac and Jacob: all (three) guided: and before him, We guided Noah, and among his progeny, David, Solomon, Job, Joseph, Moses, and Aaron: thus do We reward those who do good:"
Qur'an[[[Qur'an 6:84]|[src]]]
<span title="Source: [Qur'an 4:163]">"We have sent thee inspiration, as We sent it to Noah and the Messengers after him: we sent inspiration to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes, to Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and solomon, and to David We gave the Psalms. "
Qur'an[[[Qur'an 4:163]|[src]]]
<span title="Source: [Qur'an 38:41]">"Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" "
Qur'an[[[Qur'an 38:41]|[src]]]

This view of Job is very different from that given in the Old Testament Book of Job. There, Job is utterly cut off from communication with God. His major complaint is that he is unable talk to God and ask Him why He is doing those things to him.
