Holy Apostolic Statement

Religion-wiki — for all religions and none

Jump to: navigation, search

The Holy Apostolic Statement is not a profession of belief, but a statement of refuge in that which a Mirian has true faith in. The Mirian faith is grounded in the refuge of the Holy Trinity, through complete understanding of its meaning (see Mirian views of the Trinity). With that faith deep in the heart and mind of the worshiper, he/she practices his/her religious activities; these include Khussāyā (forgiveness of the debts of others), Shlotha (prayer), Thawāt (fasting), Ziidkhathā (alms), Taubothā (charity), Aurāh (evangelism), celebrating holidays and memorial days, and providing services to the underprivileged through peace activities. The statement, which includes all these aspects of what it means to be a follower of the Christ, is recited in every prayer time and gathering, and in every morning service on Sabbath days.

The entire english translation of the Holy Apostolic Statement is as follows:

"I offer homage to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit;
all in one Godhead, Holy Triune, uniting all things.
Light of Light, Truth from Truth, Truth itself.
I reverently follow all the teachings of holiness
given by the Lord h-Mishyah Yeshwa,
and will apply them to daily life as he did.
For the sake of the Son of Man,
I will bear patience and love for my enemies and sinners.
May all creation see, at the age's end,
the light that lightens the darkness.
Through example,
I vow to sow on earth a seed
on which that light may grow.
May the improvement of the quality of life
and the rights and dignity of all people
be at the heart of every person of faith,
as well as mine.
Through discipline and practice,
I dedicate myself to God, to the service of others,
to prayer, to peace, and thanksgiving.
Through One, Holy, Universal, Apostolic Church,
In the name of h-Mishyah, Amiin."
