Ḥārith ibn ‘Abd al-Muṭṭalib (Arabic: حارث بن عبد المطلب‎) was one of the uncles of Muhammad and also a Sahaba. His mother was Fatimah bint Amr. His brothers were Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib, Abu Talib ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib, and ‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib and Abbas ibn Abd al-Mutallib. Harith had many sons, among them:
  • Abu Sufyan ibn al-Harith
  • Rabi'ah ibn al-Harith
  • Obaidah ibn al-Harith - was the first Muslim to be killed in battle
as well as daughters:
  • Arwa binte al-Harith ibn`Abd al-Muttalib [1].
