Description

Lord Malayappa swami with his consorts, Sridevi and Bhudevi, as seen on the ninth morning of the annual Brahmotsavam festival. The priest are seen in the picture, covering the lord and his wives with a green cloth and performing an ekanta seva (Ritual in solitude. These rituals could be either offering food, chanting of sacred hyms or change of decoration & clothes). The ritual is called Rathotsavam meaning festival in ratha (chariot)
