Edwin Yamauchi (b. 1937), a noted Christian author and specialist in Near Eastern Studies, is Professor of History Emeritus at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Yamuchi is an American of Japanese decent, born in Hilo, Hawaii. He received his B.A. in Hebrew and Hellenistics from Shelton College in 1960. He later earned both his M.A. and Ph.D. in Mediterranean Studies from Brandeis University. Yamauchi is a founding member of the Oxford Bible Fellowship church in Oxford, Ohio and has been an active supporter of the Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship throughout his career, especially at the campus of Miami University.
