Chocolate gelt is metal foil covered chocolate designed to look like coins (gelt). It is often given and eaten for Hanukkah. Sometimes it is used as markers for the dreidel game.

There's a song called "Gelt Melts" by The LeeVees on their CD, Hanukkah Rocks.
