Bolivia, officially the Plurinational State of Bolivia (Spanish: Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia, [esˈtaðo plurinaˈsjonal de βoˈliβja]), is a landlocked country in central South America. It is bordered by Brazil to the north and east, Paraguay and Argentina to the south, and Chile and Peru to the west.
Religion in BoliviaEdit
According to a 2008-2009 survey by Gallup and Non-Governmental Organizations, 59% of the people of Bolivia are Roman Catholics, 15% follow pre-Columbian Inca beliefs, 12% are atheists or agnostics and 3% follow other religions. About 0.26% of the people of Bolivia are Buddhists. There is also a small Jewish community, largely Ashkenazi, and a very small Muslim community largely made up of immigrants from the Middle East and their descendants.
