Abe Zacharias is a Canadian Christian involved in music and radio ministry in Canada.

Abe Zacharias has been a Christian Country/Western and Gospel, singer/songwriter since 1973. During that time he has won numerous music awards and made many appearances both on stage and TV. These include the Children's Miracle Network in Nashville (started by Marie Osmond) and on the National Primetime Broadcasting TV Network in Midland, Texas. In 1993 he appeared on stage at the Grand Ole Opry.

Abe has recorded 13 albums of which almost all are of original content. In 1997 he became a member of the Country Gospel Music Association and was nominated for the Silver Heart Award for Male Vocalist of the Year and won the titles for the Northwest Region of both the United States and Canada. In September 1997 he went to Knoxville, TN and won the prestigious Golden Heart Award for Male Vocalist of the Year for the U.S. and Canada. 1998, 1999 and 2000 saw Abe walk away with the Silver Crown Award for both the U.S. and Canada. Recently he traveled to Nashville and was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year at the Country Gospel Music Guild Convention held at the Stardust Theatre on Music City Drive in Nashville.

In 2002, Abe met Canadian country super star Paul Brandt and discovered that Paul has been a fan of Abe's for years and told Abe that Abe's music has been a contributing factor in Paul going into the Country Music field. In October of that year Abe opened for Paul in Abe's home town which he cites as "a tremendous honor and privelege to open for Canada's most awarded country music artist"!

Media Service[]

In January 2006 Abe teamed up with Gerry Pelland and Duane Stewart to form "The Sons of the Sage." They have played to audiences all over North America and have well received. His latest CD,recorded with The Sons of the Sage entitled "Classic Country" was released in June 2006 and has been very popular. Abe's music has been receiving worldwide radio airplay including Europe, Canada and the United States thanks to Rhon/Bob Promotions (owned and operated by Bob and Rhonnie Scheurman based in Kodak,TN). Abe has also released a Johnny Cash tribute that has been played by radio DJs all over the world.

In May, 2008 Abe opened for the Blackwood Brothers in Abottsford, B.C. The Blackwood Brothers hail from Memphis, TN. This was an unprecedented opportunity for Abe and his opening act was loved by the crowds that attended the concerts. Several folks attending the concerts remarked they enjoyed having a country artist open for the quartet. They obviously enjoyed the diversity between Country and Southern Gospel, at the same time most will agree that Country and Southern are very similar in style.
