- Lucceius Albinus is appointed Procurator of Iudaea Province.
- Paul of Tarsus is imprisoned in Rome (approximate date). While in prison, Paul writes the epistles to the Epistle to the Colossians, Philemon, Ephesians, Philippians
- Paul's first Roman imprisonment is the last episode written in the Acts of the Apostles. Thus, this is the earliest possible date Acts may have been written.
- Simeon of Jerusalem succeeds James the Just as Bishop of Jerusalem. Simeon is either the apostle Simon the Zealot, or Simon, brother of Jesus the brother (or cousin) of the Lord mentioned in Matthew 13:55, Mark 6:3).
